Tek Panel Inc, American Producer Of Massive Format All-In-One Interactive Display Systems, Is Proud To Announce Their Inclusion With The Dubrovnik Virtual Museum In Dubrovnik, Croatia

Tek Panel Incorporated, American manufacturer of large format all-in-one interactive display systems, is proud to announce their involvement with the Dubrovnik Virtual Museum in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Located in Revelin Fort, visitors may be able to see archived documents, walk thru summer places and parks, see the Cathedral, flip the old coins of the Dubrovnik Republic and visit Ston and Konavle, all just about on eight Tek Panel 420T PCs.

The virtual museum realistically shows historical material, much of which was formerly unknown or usually not available to the general public. This project was realized by Surogat d.o.o. As the concept author, developer and producer. The project was also produced by the Town of Dubrovnik and the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. The Dubrovnik Virtual Museum is meant as a historical resource for local residents as well as an attraction for tourists to find out more about the history of Dubrovnik as reported prlog.org.

In Dubrovnik you can see lots of engaging museums as : Marine Museum,Dubrovnik Aquarium Institute for Marine and Coastal,Cultural and Historical Museum, Ethnographic Museum Rupe, Home of Marin Dri, Ronald Brown Memorial House, Homeland war Museum, Memorial Room of Dubrovnik’s fallen vets.

Marine Museum

Located on the 1st and second floor of Fort St. Ivan. The 1st floor exhibits a look at the cross development Dubrovnik Maritime and shipping, from the beginning until the decline of the Dubrovnik Republic. On the second floor there are exhibits that show the re-rise of Dubrovnik Maritime, steamships and strength in Dubrovnik till second World War and later . In the museum there’s a valuable library with rare books and crucial documents. Winter working time is from nine AM to four PM, except on Mondays when the museum closed. Summer working time is from nine AM to six PM, closed on Mondays. Ticket price is 40 KN for adults and twenty KN for children.

Dubrovnik Aquarium, Institute for Marine and Coastal

It is situated also in the Fort St. Ivan as a Marine Museum. Visitors have the chance to pause in front of the 31 aquarium pools, in which are the widely diversified fauna and flowers of the Adriatic Sea. You’ll meet with the earliest inhabitants of Dubrovnik Aquarium, turtle that’s here since 1953, the octopus, tooth, gilthead, sea bass, eels, murine, and until recently rare in the Adriatic – “kostorog”. You will also see the coral in the form of flower bushes, sea stars, sea urchins, snails, clams, shrimp … And a special resident – sea pony, which is a trademark of the aquarium.

Cultural and Historic Museum

Found in the Duke’s Palace in the street in front of the Palace. The ground floor of the palace is a courtroom, jail, and registries. On the mezzanine is subject collections of Dubrovnik money, stamps, measures, clocks… Also there are stunning pieces of furniture, uniforms, weapons and portraits.On the 1st floor, besides the Baroque and Rococo furniture there are paintings by Italian pros. In the southern part is a Duke’s bedroom in the kind of Rococo. Winter working time is from nine AM to four PM, each day, and summer working time is from nine AM to six PM, also each day. Ticket price is forty KN for adults and twenty KN for kids.

Ethnographic Museum Rupe

It is found in an old barn from the 16th century. Barn was built by Dubrovnik govt where they kept reserves of wheat, barley and millet in fifteen giant wells carved into stone. New permanent collection of the Ethnographic Museum was set up in 1991. In a reconstructed building. Setup exhibits the normal culture of Dubrovnik area on the 1st floor, and on the second floor are exposed people costumes, lace and other textile handcrafts whic are precise for this area. Office hours are from nine AM to four PM, except Tuesdays when the museum is closed to visitors. Ticket price for adults is forty KN, and for kids twenty KN.

Home of Marin Drzic

Visit to this museum will bring you back to the 16th century and show you the life and work of the best Croatian Renaissance playwriter, Marin Dri263;. If you find yourself in this unique place, you will be surrounded by puppets and posters, and you may use the audio guide, that has the inserted interpretations of Dri263;’s texts. Visitors to this museum does not feel just as visitors but as participants and creators of the theater. In the summertime the museum is open from ten AM to nine PM, in the pre- and post- season from ten AM to six PM, and in winter from 10 AM to 4 PM. Mondays closed.Ticket price for adults is twenty KN, and for kids 10 KN.

Ronald Brown Commemorative House

It is open on the 1st anniversary of the tragic death of the American Ministers of Trade Ronald Brown and his associates. Aircraft accidents occurred during peace mission on the April the 3rd 1996. Near Dubrovnik. In his respect, it is opened an everlasting exhibition of paintings by the foremost Dubrovnik painters of 20 th century : Antun Maslo, Ivano Dulcico and Djuro Pulitika.

Homeland war Museum

It is located on a Srzic ; hill in a part of Imperial fortress. This fortress is a symbol of defense of Dubrovnik. The fort is open an exhibition titled “Dubrovnik in the Homeland war in 1991-1995″. There are about 500 items exhibited. Summer opening hours the museum is form nine AM to six PM, and in the winter museum is opened from nine AM to four PM. Admission is free for all visitors.

Commemorative Room of Dubrovnik’s fallen vets

It is located in the palace Sponza where there are exposed photos of Dubrovnik’s defenders, who died in the Homeland war. In the winter Palace is opened from ten AM to three PM, and in the summer from nine AM to 10 PM. Entry is free.
